Hi!

I've decided to start writing about my experience doing projects around the house.

My wife and I bought a house last year (December 2012). I'd never really attempt to do "home improvement" projects myself (other than painting) but with the new house I decided to give it a try.

During the summer of 2013 I built four raised vegetable boxes for my wife. This was the first time I had ever tried to build anything from scratch and I'm pleased to say that the boxes came out pretty well. I will post more about this project later.

This summer I had more projects planned - both indoors and out. I just started the first of those projects- building shelves in our living room - and that project is what motivated me to start this blog.

I will share more about that project later as well, (hopefully) writing each day as I work on the project.

I will also include photos, etc. and things I've learned.
